Hello kids,
it's that magical time of year again; when all your burner friends are buzzing with enthusiasm about 'this is going to be the best year ever' playa dreams. i'll go to their parties, and wish them well, as they go off, but i will revel in having the place to myself and dread that horrible white dust that will return with them when they return...

Re: back by popular demand...
Thu, July 21, 2005 - 7:17 PMi went to the "fire arts festival" at the Crucible (www.thecrucible.org/) in Oakland, CA last weekend. as expected, there were many burners there. it was fun! a lot of fire and light art installations concentrated in one spot. there was a gyro and garlic fries vendor, too. i asked my burner friend if they have garlic fries at burning man. he said no, at least not ones that you could buy. now he's trying to convince me to bring garlic fries to the playa. i said i'll go to BM if and only if i can buy garlic fries with real money. damn it. none of this gifting crap. so there.

Re: back by popular demand...
Fri, July 22, 2005 - 11:52 AMi seem to be in the middle of several theme camp fund raising parties, which are fun. i get to go home to my clean house afterwards. my favourite are my friends who insist that they aren't going this year (lies!!!) or that this is their last year (yeah right.) -
